cat faeries's rumors
"Good morning, Mr. Seina, Commander Souren" Seina and souren were greeted by the staff when they showed up at the command center
sajyu and kaguya were giggling.
"Oh souren you'd make such a wonderful bride"
"you really have no other choice but to become a woman."
"What are you two going on about!?"
"you were pretty drunk last night so we sent some fairies out to wake you up on time. they told us everything." seina and souren turned red.
"Seina and Souren were asleep in the same bed!"
"he was holding him in his arms firmly!"
"Seina and Souren both took a bath!"
"Souren made him homemade breakfast!"
small cat faeries giggled.
"aaaaaaaah Don't tell people that you jerks!"
"ahaha you know how fast word travels from the cat faeries, I wouldn't be surprised if the whole base knows by now." what the cat fairies were saying wasn't wrong, but obviously there words were easy to misunderstand in such simple context.
"you realize being upset like that isn't helping your case."
Kaguya pointed out, the female officials cried out as they began to blush and the wrinkles between the eyebrows of male officials were getting deeper.
(the female officers are all pervs i see...)
"Well good luck I hear his wives are all beautiful and talented you've got some hard competition."
"Stop it already!"
" oh wow seina.... you look surprisingly calm about all this."
"I'm just exhausted from all the surprises I've had this morning."
"ahaha I understand... by the way the cat faeries have a psychic link with each other, so they can instantly share any information between them, it's useful for keeping an eye on things but well... it has some disadvantages..."
"Alone they're intelligent but as a group there a bunch of dumb-asses. they have a lot of difficulty forming a united conscious."
"are you sure you're ok to work?"
"did you stay up drinking all night after you left souren?"
"You're one to talk sajyu you still smell like booze."
"I don't decompose alcohol like you do! my body is different then yours kaguya!"
sajyu looked embarrassed sajyu liked getting drunk but the smell embarrassed her, she was supposed to be a seductress as a dryad but when she drank she smelled like a sloppy drunk.
"By the way, how would you feel if that was a beautiful woman like me sleeping next to you?"
" I would never do such a thing!"
"really, but i hear you live with women like amane and gyokuren? are you saying your immune to their charms?"
"I'm saying that souren is different cause he is a guy."
"oh I see so it worked out after all."sajyu handed a coin to kaguya they had clearly been betting on something.seina let out a sigh.
"Oh i see so this was all you two's doing."
"well sort of we were just trying to figure out how we were going to go about finding you an escort"
"escort?"
"although the staff here has been picked carefully there's no guarantee that one of them isn't a spy, There's the possibility that some people want to hurt you, so we need to assign you a bodyguard to escort you at all times."
"I don't need to sleep so naturally I nominated my self.. but kaguya didn't like that idea..." sajyu said
"That's like putting a wolf in charge of guarding a sheep!Leaving a man with a dryad like you defeats the point of even giving him an escort!"
"I would never stoop so low!"
"Yesterday you were completely out of control. do you want to end up as firewood for my fireplace ?!"
"no I dont... so i guess it's a good thing us dropping off souren in his room worked out"
"you did that?"
"Souren was a good candidate, he can use magic and is also a master of self-defense so we dumped him in there with you using sayju's sleeping magic."
"oh so that's what happened?"
"So what do you think about having souren as your escort?"
"uhm... before i give you my impression i think we better make up an excuse..."seina said in a panic
"an excuse?"
"sajyu! Kaguya! what is the meaning of this!?"
they turned around to find hakuren gyokuren karen and suiren angry and cutting off the only way out of the room.
By the way Hakuren was caught in a thought loop

eventually things were cleared up and they agreed that souren would make a good bodyguard for seina, they then moved onto making proper living arrangements for seina they formed a new area on the ship for him in the burst squirrel and then went onto discussing strategy...
Then they started talking strategy
" i have no doubt about kaguya's skill, but i'm worried what might happen when were up against the 3rd generation humanoids of the HIMIK's " hakuren said
"What!" kaguya and sajyu were surprised to hear this
" it there a possibility of them coming out of hiding? ...no of course there is, we should always considered that a possibility.... but isn't this a bit quick?
"last night Gyokuren received a confidential report from her kingdoms main planet, it seems they are making some big movements lately, so be careful." gyokuren's country had the weakest military of the 5 countries but the best intelligence gathering network.
"Even so, HIMIK is an unpleasant name to hear, doesn't it have the same name as the second generation robot that fought against ZINV before the establishment of the prehistoric civilization? That would be bad if it's a more powerful then a 3rd generation Wushin (this is a term occasionally used to describe the zinv like humanoid like mechs) ... "
"no this is something different ... ... It was first seen almost the same time as when Renza Federation was founded.It was not a pirate, it didn't belonging to any country, it himself the" The Maiden knight HIMIK" to those who encountered it"
"But didn't D said that HIMIK was destroyed by ZINV?" hakuren said
"I don't know about that unfortunately, I don't know if this is the same HIMIK that D has spoken about, it is unknown whether that even exists any more to begin with..., but there's no doubt that the maiden knight himik exists, it is a quite powerful top-ranking heavenly knight, and lately it has been giving pirates high ranking armored cavalry"
"If there is no problem with Light Hawk Wings, my moonlit night will not be lagging behind."?
"but i heard rumors it had light hawk wings!"
"if it has light hawk wings it must be at least a 3rd generation!"
"we have no confirmation of that, all we know is people have seen it put up a very powerful shield we have never gotten proper recordings or readings so it is all conjecture. unfortunately we don't have much of any actual information on himik besides eyewitness testimony."
"so what is the highest generation we have? Kaguya what's your knight at?"
"its a 5th gen unfortunately, getting 4th or third is impossible for anyone but royalty."
"oh is that so..."
"I have no doubt in my mind that if seina sets our coordinates for a jump we'll immediately encounter pirates or worse the maiden knight..."
"so you think we're going to have to involve zinv?"
"if the maiden knights lighthawk wings are fake... it shouldn't be an issue, but we don't know for sure."
"but if their real that means they have an absolute defense..."
"wait... do you not know about the light hawk wings weaknesses?"
"what?!" everyone but seina said suprised
"If you get them to cover fire from every direction with three Light Hawk Wings, you can create a slight gap in it's coverage and then you can target the gap, even then you have to break through the ships normal shields and it's difficult to pull off because you have to sustain a multi directional attack and hit the core of the ship which is very small and moves quickly... its not that big of a disadvantage in long range fights like you have in the federation but in close combat like we have with the armored cavalry it can easily become an issue."kaguya said
"either way, were going to have to be prepared to use zinv if the maiden knight intervenes, but don't forget our main target is the pirates. Their prideful and most of them wouldn't even entertain the idea of accepting help from the maiden knight if it was offered so that's thankfully one advantage we have."
"what happens if we enter a battle and we loose?"
"usually they take our cargo as well as parts of the wrecked ship, they hold it for ransom or use it for repairs because their so expensive."
"so they don't take pilots hostages?"
"Not typically, Pirates want money and handling people is a big hassle, our troops usually retrieve our pilots when we lose"
"don't worry if anything happens we will handle everything for you, only recently has anyone violated the rules of battle but it's still not common"
it was like the implicit rules not to harm passengers in the galactic federation if the cargo was handed over.
"we're going to have to teach you all the battle procedures... we can rush through it and we can use an accelerated space, but it's not like we can do it all in one day... so for now i think it might be better if we just let kaguya get you familiar with piloting zinv while we train you if that's alright with you..."
"I can train you on light hawk wing countermeasures while were at it if you like..."
"well, I don't exactly have a lot of experience piloting zinv so I would be thankful for any training you could give me but don't you think that's kind of dangerous?"
"to pilot zinv?"
"no... i mean we might get caught up in my probability bias..."
"is it really that bad?"
"I'd be fine if something went horribly wrong and it was just me, but i really don't want anyone else getting caught up in it. I can bear it, but Zinv can cause major damage very easily."
"really?"they seemed confused because they had yet to witness any really bad examples of seina's bad luck yet.
"Actually I think that might make training even better, as long as I'm in my 5th generation knight I should be able to avoid any life threatening injuries."
"I think we should lay off doing anything too intense, but I agree it could be good training what do you think seina? ms. hakuren?"
"Ok... let's do it. " Seina and hakuren mutually agreed.
