Tenchi Muyo! Ryoohki Gokuraku : an annotated guide to exploring this sega saturn "Game"

-----------This article is still incomplete-----------

today I will be annotating what is found on the "game" Tenchi Muyo! Ryoohki Gokuraku CD for sega saturn... this is not a game... it seems to be an ova 1 era compilation of a lot of material.

it opens up to a title screen with the signature tenchi muyo "yoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooou" sound

followed by a low quality cenipack codex conversion of the entire first ova opening

after pressing start you come to this screen

left trigger plays the opening hit start to exit...

right trigger plays talent for love.... also same

now to the first section tenchi:

This is the story section hitting left and right trigger from here takes you to one of the other characters sections... so don't do it...

there's a lot here and these menus move at a snails pace.
no need to scroll up the menu just loops eventually either way but your meant to scroll down.

I don't need to flex my brain to hard to know what this first part says

we will loop back around to CD Drama and cassette-drama but first:

Story 1-7

It's obvious what these say...

Story 1: Ryoko Resurected
Enter Ayeka!
Hello! Ryo ohki-chan

... you get where this is going? these are the episodes of the first ova...

lets click the first one:
 basically

Episode 1: <Story>The son of the keeper of the okayama prefecture's masaki shrine lived in Kurashiki, his son Tenchi Masaki was was back in town after visiting the shrine where with a mischevious heart he had awoken the demon sealed in the shrine, a beautiful girl named Ryoko (spirit caller), who happily chased after him throughout his school, she phased through walls and shot out lightning at him in her pursuit to blow off steam over the grudge she held at his ancestor for being sealed for so long. overwhelmed by her power he ran from her until finally he could run no more, When he had thought it was the end for him the sword he had found in the shrine shined brilliantly, without his imput the sword began moving him on it's own and attacked her cutting off her right wrist, ridding her of the gem which was the source of her power and she left. everything seemed resolved until her came home to find her sleeping happily in his bed.

that one way to cut that episode down into a small paragraph....

pressing start plays the entire episode .... fast forwarded at 12x speed with ryoko's theme dubbed over it instead of audio  that's one way to cut 40 minits down into 50 seconds i guess....
