Ryo ohki tries to wake up tenchi in the
morning without him noticing but she fails because he got up early to
talk with washu who is enhancing the fields to produce carrots all
year round. she confirms to tenchi that seina had been taken into
space and tenchi conveys his worry for seina to her. due to their
closeness washu decides to initiate a plan to make a spaceship to
protect seina.
at a meeting for the pirates of the daruma guild, tarrant shank, son of radi shank who was captured by seina during the mass pirate capture indecent appears covered in blood. they discuss the mass assassin capture from the day before and tarrant insists they start a full on attack of the academy. his idea is shot down because most pirates hold an implied non aggression pact with the gp and they have no wish to start a war. after the end of the meeting tarrant decides to launch an attack anyways with his own guilds armada he dismisses his underlings so he can engage in some hardcore necrophilia.
mikami along with back up from Noike take out the fleet which launches at the main planet of the academy. noike declines an invitation from mikami to attend seina's entrance ceremony.
seina wakes up and is surprised to find he no longer has a facial mark. funaho calls him personally and welcomes him into space since he is the second pure earthling to come into space after her.
seina and his roommates go out to the cafeteria to get food and unknown to them are followed by the seto scouts who are now attached to him as a sort of secret security team.
they get back home and turn on the tv his roommates change the channel to a program where an ai celebrity named kirche anchors the morning news, except she is missing, they flip through the channels to find her as the news discloses that systems are out throughout the academy. the boys freak out at the possibility that kirche is missing and seina wonders why they don't just have a backup copy, the boys explain that a backup wouldn't have her astral aka her soul but they stop their explanation as soon as they find a broadcast with her. they finish watching the show and eating and leave for the entrance ceremony.
as he approaches the hall, airi, sleep deprived and dressed in a black kimono grabs him and begins trying to drag him off into some nearby woods to molest him. despite his calls for help no one tries to stop her because basically she is the highest ranking official in all of the planet not even the seto scouts who are watching dare to try to stop her.
kiriko and amane meanwhile wake up take a shower together and leave to the ceremony.
airi's attempted rape is interrupted by a totally oblivious mitoto. seiryo approaches also oblivious to the situation and starts hurling racist rhetoric at seina for being an earthling. airi chunli's seiryo into the stratosphere over and over. fire works go off and alert everyone that the ceremony is starting so they rush to go inside.
an old detective in the crowd talks to a rookie detective and the one named miyase proclaims that he remembers when he was a freshman and he fell in love with mihoshi, his class mate, only to watch her head be blown off in a gun fight with space pirates. he goes up some stairs and encounters another former classmate of his, amane. he asks amane how seiryo can get up after such damage like it's nothing and amane explains that seiryo basically a cyborg because of how many nano bots he has in him but miyase is confused as to how he doesn't suffer from residual mental trauma like mihoshi did from the damage, amane explains that seiryo is so self oblivious and stupid that he can be brought to near death over and over without any psychological damage. everyone begins to notice a mass amount of shady people in the audience. mikami makes her introduction speech and calls up seina to give a speech, as he does the microphone system malfunctions and releases a high pitched signal that causes the massive stereo system in the room to explode however several other people also collapse from the sound itself including seiryo.
seina leaves the building and encounters a girl leading around some younger students who begins to talk to him. she leaves and his roommates come out surprised that seina just talked to her since she was Miki Seinbeck last years miss gp, essentially the girl voted prettiest in the GP. By the way Miki stinbeck is the reincarnation of Mitsuki Sanada. they share the same initials and their appearances.
seina feels worried because he realizes this means he is going to have to give another interview to her fanboys later that night. seina and the boys go to where class is supposed to be only to be informed that all classes except pe are canceled until the systems get restored.
seto giggles at the footage of the explosion on her bridge and it aggravates minaho so she tells minaho that kanemitsu's baby was a girl which makes her mad because it means she can't have it as a spouse.
tsukiko arrives to meet with seto to beg her to send seina back but she refuses.
kiriko and amane check out their new joint classrooms.
amane explains that the feedback caused a sort of resonance vibration that destroyed all of seiryos nanomachines and so now seiryo is walking around bandaged like a mummy as he heals which she finds hysterical because she hates him.
there both called to meet with mikami who tasks kiriko with helping bring all the academys systems back online to a new unified system being made around washu's system. mikami also informs them that everyone who passed out from the resonance seemed to have illegal brain remodeling done that was possibly done with the same tech used to remodel mihoshi's brain. it's revealed that mihoshi was in a gunfight with a pirate had her head blown open and suffered a mental collapse from the trauma even after her brain was remodeled. which is what caused her to leave the army for the GP.
the people with remodeled brains were supposed to act normally but upon a certain switch being thrown they would become zombified spies.
seina's pe teacher turns out to be seiryo who proceeds to torture him by making him do an extreme workout despite not being bio-enhanced like the other students. his friends do the best to make sure he recovers before the next round of P.E . when he relaxes in the grass before class, miki secretly watches him. after another round of classes kiriko leaves her classroom again to find amane watching seina being excersize tortured by seiryo. kiriko, who wants seina to go home and not get bio-enhanced keeps herself from interfering with it and turns away.
seina collapses and notices her from afar and recalls that she told him the previous day that she wanted him to go back to earth he picks himself back up. amane scolds kiriko for being so heartless to seina and then notices that miki is watching seina. kiriko gets concerned about that.
after class miki arrives and introduces herself formally and helps clean seina up. his roommates approach and start getting annoying so she leaves. seina goes home soon his friends decide to take him to a public bath with a massaging system that will bring him back to normal minaho calls and offers to move his bio-enhancement which is being delayed by the systems malfunctions to jurai
but he puts it off because he wants to talk to kiriko about it first. kiriko attempts to call him to talk to him but her call is blocked by minahos call. when he gets out of the call he gets a call from the head of mikis fan club for an interview. kiriko looks up miki's information in the school database and finds her appearance to be oddly familiar some how. she decides to go take a bath and go to bed
when seina goes to bed nb lights up and begins talking. raireza who is monitoring the nb remotely notices this but decides not to tell airi about it until the morning.
the next day seina wakes up fully recovered. kiriko calls him and asks her to meet her at a designated point after class. again seiryo tortures him and again miki watches over him, but she is confronted by kiriko. she warns him about seina's bad luck and miki assures her she is aware. kiriko backs off and leaves amane spies on this and kiriko discovers her as she leaves.
after class amane invites kiriko to naashisu where she brings up how odd it is that the bio-enhancement system still isn't back online. seiryo butts in and is attacked by amane he announces insincerely that since he is the only bio-enhancement coach this year he also wishes for the systems to come on line soon, he then excuses himself and leaves.
meanwhile miki brings an ambulance with a medical capsule for seina filled with a solution that promotes rapid recovery he's put into it and it heads towards a hospital
seina's biological reaction dissipates so the seto scouts who are working security go and tracks down the capsule as it goes into the hospital
kiriko and amane go to the systems administrator to find out what's taking so long as they leave seiryo enters and tips the guy for lying and keeping the systems down. but mikami walks in and overhears them seiryo is put on toilet cleaning duty as punishment.
kiriko and amane get ambushed by their fan clubs and interviewed but soon seiryo comes by and tells the two that seina was taken away by miki in a hospital capsule this sends the fan clubs into a frenzy around seiryo, amane and kiriko escape and contact the seto scouts and she urges them to actually open the capsule, they do and they find seina missing.
they check the surveillance record and figure out that seina was actually transferred under the p.e. grounds
seina wakes up in a lab with miki's father, Hiroshi manada, the reincarnation of Ken Sanada (keep in mind Hiroshi rara was his rival) he tries to experiment on seina and it blows up his lab this thrills miki. seina feels very nostalgic about this scene.
they are called to mikami's office its not made a criminal case but hiroshi's wages are garnished and miki gets a month of punishment. seina is informed that his bio-enhancement is happening the next day.
as he leaves with miki he tells her that the experience of being in her fathers lab felt familiar and miki tells him that it might be due to the influence of the seed plan. sometimes residual memories of the culture that created it come up in people. they go there desperate ways
kiriko finishes fully repairing all of the academy's systems. she goes home for tea and a bath and is called by her mother. tsukiko who dares her to send seina back because she was planning on marrying him due to his lack of a foreseeable future. kiriko throws her father dai at tsukiko as an excuse for her not to marry seina but it doesn't work because they a. Aren't married, and B. she hates dai because he is a wacky crazy Tennan and he is nothing to her but a grief rebound that got her pregnant then turned into a creep.
she leaves kiriko to think over her position on seina.
erma alerts airi that seina's personal data construct encountered kirche and ran off with her somewhere.

seina wakes up and goes to meet with kiriko at the designated place. kiriko explains that if he is bio-enhanced he wont be able to live a normal life on earth without undoing the whole process first. seina accepts this and refuses to give up a life in space out of his own selfish desires and because of a promise to seto she reveals to seina that she had pursued him into space and saw her nightmare scenario unfold when she found out he was surrounded by pirates and nearly captured. she tells him about the majority of what happened the night before in the city having to do with him. and then she begs him to return home totally ignoring his feelings on the matter. he tells her with a strong resolve that no matter what he isn't going back to earth. she recalls a part of her conversation with her mom where her mom confronted her over the fact that she had actually left to space to get away from seina and his bad luck because she couldn't bear to be around it any longer.
kiriko realizes that her being in space was always just a flimsy excuse of "well i can defend him from attacks from space this way" that she used to justify her distancing herself from him. she starts to feel upset with herself but the situation is interrupted by a call to go to airi's office.
seto who was watching the situation from the scouts feed rejoices and goes to report the news to tsukiko
seiryo and mitoto are cleaning toilets and hear an announcement for seina to go get bio-enhanced this makes him clean faster in an attempt to rush to stop it.
kiriko erma and amane are made seina's bio-enhancement operators.
seiryo hears this get announced and gets extra panicked because he imagines amane and seina having sex.
erma explains the procedure to seina seina undresses seina asks amane why she is at the academy and she explains she was demoted for recruiting him.
he undergoes the procedure
seina wakes up in a white room and goes flying when he tries to move amane shows up and explains that the operation was a success and now seina has to relearn how to move normally
seiryo while cleaning with mitoto notices he is no longer in gp headquarters and is now clearly on a pirate ship.
amane increases seina's body load so he can walk again and they leave out the room seina wonders where amane is taking him and amane explains that he is coming to live with her kiriko comes out from a building and surprises seina.
raireza goes to visit kirche in her VR world.
Amane drives seina to her new apartment and seiryo pulls up and she flirts with seina to counter his insistence that amane is his girlfriend, she makes seiryo get into a car accident.
seina arrives at the giant apartment and finds out that erma and kiriko are also going to be staying with them. they get in a cruiser that kiriko borrowed from airi and head out to shop for household items.
the book ends with seto and mirror seto talking to each other mysteriously.
