There are no digitized versions of the Photon novels, so there no cake walk for me to translate
We do how ever have the scans from the illustrations which help show just how radically different they are and scans of the covers which I have quasi translated for this site.
I have translated the opening scene from the first novel. I don't know if I will finish with the first novel or not.

Volume 1:
more or less the description is something like "
on a planet powered by a force called Ahou energy lives a young boy who will change the future of space. His name is photon Earth. when he meets Keyne Aqua they have a misunderstanding and she thinks she is his wife but sir papacha is after her. can he protect his new wife? based on the OVA by Masaki kajishima and written by Yosuke Kuroda.
Well, that tells us nothing new but these pictures though....
as you can see, there are differences.
But how about Volume 2?:
... ok first of who is the brown haired waifu and second off... i barely understand this at first glance. it says something about searching 700 years for something i think and all new material not in the OVA though... if anyone can read this better and cares post in the comments. hell anyone with a summary of the novels and the differences please let me know.
this is mami from what i have read in the book... and i thought it was light hawk wings but it doesnt seem to be just some weird run away ahou armor
Volume 3:
i also don't get much of this just based on a quick machine translation but it says that they find the ahou furnace and that the end is different from the OVA.
............. well maybe we will get answers someday but for now it doesn't really matter.
Photon doesn't directly link to anything yet except war on geminar. who knows though the kajishima verse is always expanding
